TAG – The Arts Group is a dynamic performing arts program where students learn to sing, dance and act in a creative, supportive and confidence-building environment. Designed to nurture a love for theatre, TAG introduces students to every aspect of stage performance, from storytelling and movement to teamwork and expression, while ensuring they feel comfortable, inspired and part of a welcoming community.
Through engaging weekly classes with three experienced teachers along with exciting performance opportunities, students develop the skills to bring stories to life on stage. Whether they’re preparing for their first show or refining their performance technique, TAG provides a foundation in the performing arts that celebrates individuality, builds resilience, and encourages every student to shine under the spotlight.
SENIOR PROGRAM
The Senior Theatre Program offers students the opportunity to grow as confident, versatile performers through both a mid-year Variety Showcase and the experience of working toward a full-scale production. Throughout the year, students develop advanced skills in singing, dancing, and acting, exploring solo, duo, and group performance while building stage presence, musicality, and teamwork. They experience the full theatre process including audition preparation, learning lines and harmonies, choreography, rehearsals, costume fittings, and stagecraft, gaining real-world insight into musical theatre. The year follows a clear progression from skill building in Term 1, through the Variety Showcase and auditions in Term 2, focused rehearsals in Term 3, and culminating in dress rehearsals and showtime in Term 4.
JUNIOR PROGRAM
The Junior Theatre Program is designed for young performers from Prep to Grade 6, giving them a fun, supportive introduction to singing, dancing, and acting while building confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Throughout the year, students rotate through skill-building in vocal technique, musical theatre–style dance, and acting, learning character work, stagecraft, theatre etiquette, and ensemble performance in an encouraging environment. Term 2 introduces audition preparation through a friendly, educational process, followed by focused rehearsals in Term 3, and in Term 4 everything comes together with dress rehearsals and an exciting end-of-year production where all students perform on stage in full costume and theatre lights, celebrating their growth and love of performing.
